There has to be a way…Yahoo Mail contacts

I know there’s a new Yahoo Mail application, but it’s been buggy and inconsistent and I don’t want to fool with it until they’ve worked out the problems. All I want is access to my Yahoo Mail contacts so it will auto-fill when I want to compose an email. Call me a creature of habit, but I prefer my old standby Yahoo email account and don’t want to convert everything over to Google.

Any ideas how I can have my cake and eat it to (read have a Google based phone, but still use my Yahoo Mail as a default with all my contact information readily available.)?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

I’ve been having an issue with my yahoo mail on my droid. I set it up properly and it works fine, i get all my emails with no problems. My only issue is like every 2-3 days i get duplicates of the same emails sent to me again that i got 2-3 days ago. They only show up on the phone though. They never show up on the actual web page. Anybody have any ideas?

IMAP and Yahoo Mail Issues

First off I would like to thank the users on this forum for the abundance of useful information given on this site.

Up until the middle of last week I have been using IMAP setting to view my yahoo mail on my droid using the phones e-mail app and it has functioned just fine. However, now every time I set up the IMAP settings it checks my mail then force closes and then I must re-enter my yahoo information. So I’ve been relegated to using yahoo’s mobile site which sucks. I have tried with wi-fi on and off FYI.

Thanks for the help!
