Motorola Droid News

I had already received the 2.2 update a couple of weeks ago, and had all of the slowdown and redraw issues that many others have experienced. This morning, my Droid pulled down an additional OTA update (Kernel version 2.6.32.9-g874c292 android-build@apa26 #1). I’ve played with it for a few minutes and it still seems like there’s significant delay switching between apps and phone functions.

Any ideas what this update did?

After the 2.2 update, I can’t update via *228. Any ideas why?

My droid is rooted and works just fine, but my wife got the ota 2.2 update, after which I loaded up flash for her. She complains that, ever since the update, internet videos have been stuttering (sound is fine, but vid acts like its going at 1 fps). Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Ever since my Droid updated, I can’t turn off the email notification ring and LED blink. I don’t want to know when I get an email, and I try to turn off the notification but it doesn’t save. Anyone know how to fix this??? Thanks.

Sorry for the newbie question. What is involved in a Market App Manual Update?

I just did a manual update to FRG22D. How to manually install the latest FRG22D firmware for Droid to access Flash Player 10.1 – Android and Me
In order to get the Flash Player from the marketplace to run properly, I had to uninstall the version I had installed manually and then reinstall from the marketplace. It all runs great!:)

After installing the update, my Month View calendar displays color bars for only one of the five calendars that I want to view at a glance. All five show up on Week, Day and Agenda views properly. I have reset the settings and resynced several times. Anyone seen this problem? Any suggestions?

Hey. I have a rooted Moto Droid running BB v0.4.

Today I started getting notifications and pop up windows telling me to upgrade to Froyo 2.2 or whatever. Should I do this? It wouldn’t mess with the rooting or anything?

If I shouldn’t do it, how can I make the notifications go away? They come up like every ten minutes, it’s pretty annoying.

Sorry, I posted this in the tech/glitch forum, but I figure I could post here too. Anyway ever since I got the update yesterday I have problem listening to my music through an audio jack (either via headphones or through another means) after I receive a text. Music plays fine, I get a text (with a sound alert), it then pauses the song (didn’t before), I then try to unpause and I get no sound. Now I do get sound out of the phone when I unplug the jack, but when I plug it back in nothing. The only way to fix it is to turn the phone off and on, but same thing happens. Anybody else having this problem?

I awoke this morning with a message saying there was a system update, I selected to do it now. The phone started to reboot, I put it down and let it do its thing. I loooked down a while later and the phone has an exclamation mark within a triangle and an icon of a cell phone. Is it still updating or is it broke? Wondering if I need to power cycle it or what.
