I have had advanced task killer on my phone forever. I play a game called Raging Thunder online with my phone alot. The game freezes up often. I use the task killer to end it, otherwise, when I try to start it again, I get a blank screen or the frozen still frame it last displayed.
After seeing so many members tell others it was not needed, I decided to un-install it. I have the new 2.2 and was still having it freeze occasionally so I thought I’d try it without the task killer on the phone. (I’m running my droid 1 stock BTW)
So the first time the darn game freezes, I go to start it again, blank screen. :icon_evil:
I look around for another way to end it without re-booting the phone. I go to settings, applications, running services and I don’t see it there. I proceed to click on some things I see there but I don’t kill anything cause the couple things I click on warn of bad things happening with services I do recognize, like weather etc…Then all of a sudden my phone is frozen; had to do a battery pull. I think that’s only the 2nd time I ever been forced to do that in 9 months of ownership.
Please enlighten me about another method that’s equally as fast as clicking the old TK & ending the program, then promptly re-starting it to play again.
I’m waiting for the answer that works. If I don’t get an answer that works for me, I’m re-installing the task killer.

i found i very cheap phone that can not be activated due to money owed on contract, but can it be use as a movie and mp3 player with a camera? and how functional would it be? my ipod touch just broke so i am trying to find a cheaper replacement. any input would be great thanks

First off … wanna say this is my first post, although I’m always browsing I finally registered. So this should be fun. I’ve had my droid since it first came out & I liked it, but I’ve fallen in love since the last couple mths.

Except for … the annoying beeps the poor caller on the other line has to put up with from time to time. My darn cheek is always pushing the numbers when I’m on the phone! I’ve clicked the top button, locking the phone, in the beginning of the conversation but after a couple of jokes & gossip stories it manages to unlock & the obnoxious beeps begins. Anyone else ever have this issue or are my cheeks just extremely large & I’ve never noticed? My phone before the Droid was this little touchscreen Dare from Verizon as well & this never happened! Well if this has happened to anyone else, please share & provide any advice.

Idk how long this has been going on but MAN its frustrating. My camera will only focus when reaaaaally (like 2inches) close to the subject. I have tried a couple different camera apps and messed with all the settings inside and just can’t fix it. Im running 2nd version froyo. Anyone got any ideas????

HELLO —–Hope this post is in the correct place as I am learning this Tapatalk.

I am trying to get only 1 of any app or other function on each screen, but I cannot delete anything to the trash can except on the first (home) screen. I want to do this with apps as well as with browser, phone, and other functions. In other words, I don’t want any duplications from screen to screen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance . I must be missing one step. I really appreciate the forums and all the help.

For some reason, even with this selected, it filters only a few people. I still have some contacts from facebook that shows up with only an email address (they have no number). why is this feature not working like it should?

When I set my phone vibrate I want ALL off my notifications to vibrate. I know by checking the vibrate box for the specific applications I can turn it on, but this also makes the apps vibrate when the sound is up.

Is there a way to vibrate JUST when the sound is off?

How do you setup a different ringtone/messages tone for each contact and how do you setup to just ring when someone from your contacts call and not ring when caller is not in contacts?

coming from BB and there was an option for exceptions.

I thought bluetooth would work with music and streaming music is this possible
