google maps question/problem

Under Layers it shows Traffic, Satellite, Buzz, and Latitude but I was looking at the Tony Hawk fav places around the world and now its on my layers screen all the time.

Is there any way to erase that from my layers?

Pinch to zoom in google maps.

I couldn’t help but noticing that when I’m in Google maps, I can pinch to zoom. I’m not rooted yet and I’m on 2.0.1. I was certain that there was none until the 2.1 update i was just wondering if anyone else knows about this. I’ve read a lot in this forum about people cant wait for 2.1 for pinch to zoom in maps.

oh yes.. i’m using a motorola droid 2.0.1 on VZW

google Maps

i log into google maps online. i then use the send to phone which it sends am email of the address. i click on the address in the email, it take me to google search. i choose menu but nowhere can i choose Navigate to get me directions from my current point. how do i access navigate? thx

Maps and navigate

i would like to be able to have walking directions to a place, maybe in a city i am visiting. i thought Google Maps did this but can get it to talk the directions. is there a better app?

also, the my location is not very accurate. sometimes it shows me a few streets away from where i really am. very disappointing

is there something more accurate or settings out there?

Odd GoogleMaps / GPS phenomenon…

Since I’ve had the phone now for a little over a month, about half the time that I start up Maps, it shows "My Position" as being at a house I lived at about a year ago, which is about an hour drive from where I live now. Back then, I was not with Verizon, but with ATT.

After a minute or so on Maps, it brings up my correct position.

That changed about 4 days ago when I recieved a signal extender that was ordered from Verizon. Now, Maps starts up showing that I’m near a golf course in Canyon Lake, California.

About 3 minutes later, it corrects itself.

What could be triggering that?
