Motorola Droid News

Im running BB with BG and recently ran into the issue that when I disconnect from WiFi my Droid wont re-connect to the 3G network unless I restart the phone. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Need to wipe data on a Droid with water damage and a dead backlight on the LCD screen… any ideas? I was thinking of trying to access it via USB but haven’t found anything when I’m searching… any ideas?

note: the phone seems operational other than the screen, I can even faintly make out certain images on the screen in the right light or with a flashlight, but definitely not clear enough to boot into recovery and factory reset.. (although at this point I keep trying)…

What has happened to these ROMS they looked way more modern and different then the roms i am seeing now…….I’d compare the ROMS now to just havin an Iphone. I attached some screenshots of what ive seen. Mostly like the simply stunning 4.6 by chevy

in noway am i trying to offend anyone just trying to be different and get the best working rom for my droid. I love what the developers have done and will do in the future.

So I was on my way back from lunch, sitting in the back seat of a Subaru Impreza. In the front seats there were two iPhone owners (one a 3G, the other a 3GS). We were behind a truck with a very unusual statement printed on the back window. We all went for our cameras, and from the back seat, my phone pulled off the best shot of the three. This was taken with default settings, at 4x digital zoom (so the pic is only 640×480) in a car travelling at least 30mph.

The spots on the windshield are raindrops, cause today’s weather is mostly crappy with a small chance of sucky.

My Droid is running NexFro 1.0.1 at 1100Mhz.

Can someone please post a clear picture of the charging port. When I plug my charger in the port, the left side of the usb plug hangs out a little bit. Still is able to charge though. So I’m asking for a picture so I can compare what a normal port looks like. I’m thinking of trying to fix the port. Also you may suggest a fix from what I am describing. I’ll try to post a picture of my port in a little bit.

Hello fellow Droids. I’ve read thread after thread about dropped calls. I have a tons of "stopped" calls. I’ve installed Screen Suite and with the screen locked during calls, I still get stopped calls. Now… When this happens I get the screen in the attached picture. The END button is "alive", but doesn’t do anything, the SPEAKER button is "alive" but doesn’t do anything. The only thing that works is the HOME button. All other buttons are there, but don’t respond at all. The caller ID area goes "blank" as pictured. When the call is lost, I don’t hear any kind of click, tone, or anything. What gives? I have a few friends with moto droids having the same problem. When I called Verizon they had never heard of this problem. It happens regularly. I’ve tried holding the phone different ways, etc. I’m a guy with a G.I. haircut so it’s not the hair thing. Defective phone? Odd though that every person I know that has one has experienced this.

I’ve seen a lot of screen shots of peoples Droids and a while back I noticed that I didn’t have the Verizon Wireless text on the status bar dropdown or the lock screen. I can’t remember having it on there ever. Anyone else have this?

I just noticed that the Droid made a small appearance on the newest episode of "Castle". The scene that you can see it is as a FBI agent’s gadget. A screenshot follows.

I don’t know what the cause of this is? is it a missing plug-in or codec. I notice it on some website images, email images, and stuff that might be trying to run flash

I’ve sent this question to Evernote support but since I don’t have a Premium account it goes to the bottom of the list so I thought I’d direct it to all of you who are using Evernote on your Droids.
I have put some web pages and other things into the PC 3.5 version of Evernote. When it syncs the images contained in the note show in the thumbnails but not in the note itself on the Droid. Everything works fine on the PC and on my iPod touch.
Evernote says it should work on the Droid also but I have not been able to see the images. they suggested I sign out of Evernote on the Droid and sign back in. When I did that the images showed in the thumbs but still not in the note (previously they did not show in the thumbs either). I’ve rebooted my Droid but still No Joy.
Is anyone else using Evernote on their Droid having this same issue? I’m trying to narrow the problem.
