I forced the 2.2 update last week and have had none of the well documented issues that people seem to be having. Overall, I am very happy.
One of the features I was looking forward to the most with the Froyo release is Bluetooth dialing.
Sometimes it works great. "Speak now." "Call Joe Smith, Home". Then she asks, "Dial Joe Smith, Home?" I say, "Yes" and we are off and running.
Sometimes, however, I tell it to call, and it informs me that it is dialing someone else without every asking me if it is OK to do so. Or it does the same thing, but thinks I read off a number rather than someone’s name, and starts dialing a random phone number.
Anybody else having this issue? Has anyone found any settings for this feature? Maybe this will be fixed with the FRG22 build.

I’ve got a new truck with the navigation system/integrated bluetooth. When the nav system syncs w/my phone, the phone starts streaming. Sometimes it streams whatever was previously paused on the Listen app but usually it plays a random song from the DoubleTwist app. Sometimes I end up with both apps running. The truck’s controls will stop the app but won’t let me change which app is starting.
Is there any way to stop this from happening or at least set the default app that starts up when bluetooth syncs?

When I scan my droid with the free version of antivirus, it finds a package called "Bluetooth Share", and wants me to uninstall it, but when I try to , it says unable to uninstall. Bluetooth is not active on my Droid… How do I get this off the phone?

I’m not a tech guy and I have a couple questions. I’ve read this board, spending hours, but still don’t have a simple concise answer/understanding. I know that 2.2 (Froyo) is out and that come December 3.0 gingerbread is coming, but it appears to non-technical guy me, that things will get more locked down at the system matures. That said I have a couple questions:
1. I would like to have Froyo (2.2) on my basic Droid phone. However, what happens when Verizon pushed it our over the air, if you’ve already got it loaded. Will it crash my phone? Also I really want Froyo to get Flash so I can watch ESPN and football games this fall. If I get Froyo, Flash will simply download from the site?
2. I want to have my Droid act like a wifi hot spot and/or be able to provide internet access to a laptop. My foolks are in a rural area and have to use dial up. I get 3G with my phone, so I want to bring my laptop and use Droid to access the internet. What is the procedure? Will simply loading 2.2 do this for me. I don’t care if it’s wifi or bluetooth, etc.
I’d really appreaciate simple answers and maybe a point in a direction I could accomplish the above.
thanks

before i went to bed, i charged my motorola droid. it was 100% full when i went to bed and when i woke up, it was 80% full even though i didn’t use it all night. i woke up at around 9:30, listed to music for an hour while i went jogging, and used my phone for other purposes a little bit after, too. by 1:00, my battery was already at 20%! i keep wifi, gps, bluetooth, and syncing off at all times, and i use a task manager to make sure unnecessary apps aren’t running in the background. does anybody have any suggestions?

I had a Blackberry Storm prior to this phone and used it connected to my Altima, the connection was perfectly clear. I got the Motorola Droid and connected it, and the connection is fuzzy and the person on the other end of the phone can’t even hear me. I love my Droid, but it doesn’t do me much good if the bluetooth is unclear.
Anyone else having this problem, or a solution?
PLEASE ADVISE!!

Hey Guys,
I searched the forum for this (and could not find) before posting.
I sell droids for a living in costco, and right next to our kiosk are all the bluetooth headsets. Everyday, I kinda wish I owned a Jawbone. So, today I caved in and bought a jb2+ (50 bucks right now, normally 70) and I was experimenting with it and all of a sudden I hear in my ear "Say Command." and i was like… "Call Home." and it said "calling Home on mobile phone" and it connected!dancedroid
Will try to see if the jb2+ works with stock 2.1. will update MaƱana
Runnning Froyo (1.0ghz oc) and the baseband upgrade.
Any luck for you guys?

So i have been reading and now have a headache. I cant find much info on the droid and F90BT.
Really quick question: is it possible to steam the music over the bluetooth connection? If its possible what am i missing? I cant get it to work. Or is the only way for it to work is by using a Sprint Anycom FIOP adapter or similar device?
I dont mind plugging into the USB for charging but it would be nice not to have to plug the 3.5mm audio cable in.
thanks guys

Does anyone know of a way to have a SMS notification play through a pair of bluetooth headphones? When I am at work I have to keep my phone on vibrate but am allowed to listen to music. I don’t always keep my phone on me at work and even when it’s in my pocket I don’t always feel it.
Hopefully there is a way to do this, I don’t care what it plays but as long as there is some notification in my headphones.
